Trending @Cognizant; YEA Rating

Just received a mail about our year end Rating and it was 3 out of 5. A mere 3. Last Year I was under the same manager but not on a project. This year after working way to hard and giving way to much extra the rating is same and increment in peanuts 🥜. Just a rant, need to switch fast but after seeing posts on this platform the hopes for that also goes down the drain.

Lets expect atleast one of you reply.

When Cognizant changed the bucket system from 4 to 5 buckets, the company kept saying that the 3rd bucket in the new system is same as 2nd in old and 2nd in new is same as 1st in old. 1st in new is for exceptional cases.

I didn't believe that story and I really I stopped caring about ratings long back.

Take it easy.

There is no sense of ratings, you worked ass hard for three project and if your business manager is non tech which majorly happens. Expect no improvement in ratings. So better to work hard and look for better.

Just FYI, the ratings were revised before getting published. There was this guidance from leadership to normalise the Rating as per normal distribution i.e. ratings of 95% of employees were dragged to 3.

Now all of this is just a gimmick to cut cost, so that they will shell out less in terms of hike and incentive.

Pipeline is dry, not just for Cogni, rather the entire IT industry, so wait for the boom before you switch.
