Trending @Cognizant; Working from a Different Office Location – HR Concerns?
My manager has no issue with me working from a different office location(Project location is Bangalore I want to work from Hyderabad ofc). Also I'm reporting 3 to 4 days a week to office. However, they mentioned that if HR raises any concerns or sends an escalation, I will have to handle it myself. Has anyone been in a similar situation? What should I do?
If client raise concern of connecting through non odc facility,it could be serious because they will consider it has security breach
If your project does not have location/odc requirement or if both Bangalore & Hyderabad are odc locations for you then you can ask manager to get the location updated in your profile. Else you will have to shift
Take approval from your delivery manager for location change without any extra cost and share with your PM and ask him to change the location.
You can ask manager to transfer to Hyderabad
That only takes few hours and few approvals
I have done that my manager transferred me
Nothing happens. If your PM is fine with it HR has no issues
