Trending @Cognizant; Why CTS is one of worst IT companies to work for long term
- Worst HIKES - they don't even match inflation rate of 8%
- Medical insurance policies is worst - 20 percent co-pay and claim ratio is very less. It's half compared to Infosys also.
- The merit increase should be in basis of BU performance also but no benefit on that.
- No quarterly rewards which even Indian IT companies offer
- Top management is taking good hikes while lower management suffering
- No logical decisions for office work and calling back to office without any logic.
- Home manager have full power on promotion while the performance is fully known to project manager.
- Life insurance and everything is just on paper but no benefits given as said.

Agree with all the points 1-6 and 8. I just learned home managers don't have any real say in your promotion. The quota comes from the BU, and the directors and their heads decide on the promotion. IJM is the only way forward.

Ravi CEO is prepping up to leave I think, see this article https://www.investing.com/news/company-news/cognizant-ceo-ravi-kumar-sells-shares-worth-nearly-496k-93CH-3562889

Then itβs very good news ππ

Great! If he leaves then maybe it will become a good company. Fingers crossed π€

Ravi sold some stocks shows that he is not here for long term in cognizant and as per eligibility whenever he gets chance to sell his ESOPS after the lock-in period he will sell stocks, also it shows that he is not confident on Cognizant so called growth story.
If Ravi was confident that Cognizant will grow and become market leader in coming years then he would have hold his stocks of cognizant, and as cognizant stock prize would grow with time under his leadership he would have sold them at higher prices later. This is a negative news for cognizant. It's the bad decision from Cognizant director to appoint him as CEO.
Cognizant has become very toxic company, and they are not good in succession planning and creating leaders.

I wouldn't completely agree on point 7. All other points are valid. Home manager can choose any rating out of 2,3 and 4 and the decision may not be questioned but 1 and 5 ratings will be questioned. I'm saying this from my experience.

Another grim picture is that you get a 15% increment on promotion. But your variable % will also increase. Again don't expect year end rating of 4 or 5 if you are recently promoted. You can't have it all. Ravi Kumar is trying to make sure that CTS becomes a junior Infosys. The best approach is to change companies every 3-4 years of you want growth else you mat be having 10 years experience but still not promoted to SA level.

True. Leadership team mostly D+ folks are not doing their work (stakeholders/client management) and not encouraging associate who is really supporting. Leaders used to give more support to few leads/folks and get more than 100% benefits to those very close to the leaders
