Pay parity across companies is more important now but technological innovation is the main hurdle. A fresher who comes equipped with all the new tools and technologies is able to get more from elite companies or startups whereas a senior manager working in any of the service based companies may not be able to earn that much. Experience in older technologies is not being counted now a days which is very unfortunate. We are slowly becoming dinosaurs.
