Trending @Cognizant; What if I resign after joining.

I joined 1 week back, still on bench. I am getting a better offer from another organization. So if I resign now after joining cognizant and sitting on the bench for 1 week. Will they let me go early or do I still have to serve the notice period? Please comment if anyone resigned just after joining.
