Trending @Cognizant; WFO is mandated in notice period

Dear Colleagues,

I got an offer with 50% hike from current CTC in other organisation. I submitted my resignation in last Tuesday and waiting for the confirmation of LWD. I am billable and have dependency in project deliverables. Will they consider early release for me ?

I have spoken with my HM and she said that she will check with senior manager for the early release. Would it compulsory to work from office in notice period .

Can anyone suggest me idea to get early release and for WFH ?

I am also serving notice period and seeking for WFH ,even after heavy rain and flood situation the manager is asking me to come to the office 3 days a week.

How to convince them ?

Did you work from home any week during notice period ? If yes, then what was the action from manager or HR

Yes , I had informed my HM, due to heavy rain I was unable to travel back to the work location from my home town but now they are asking me to come back.

There are only two possible ways
Convince your HM in a emotional and polite way that everyone looks for good opportunity and I am getting one. For me it’s time to grow, I have a family to look after and expenses are so much, higher ctc will help me you would have done the same thing

2nd option full proof medical document which is not easy unless untill you have connections with doctor
