Trending @Cognizant; Want to transition to Dev from QA. Any support here?
Joined CTS in 2023 (campus hire). Since then put in a shitty manual QA project with absolutely no tech whatsoever. I was always passionate about coding and wanted to work in Development. Before joining, interned in SDET track which had dev + automation testing, so wasn't aware of the realities :-( Anyways, took release from project and currently upskilling in web dev. So any support here would be helpful.

I've been stuck in QA for years similarly with CTS changing from Dev while hiring to QA on joining. Plan to move to Dev as per your interest soon in your initial years of career and change company. The more you delay the more it would be difficult to get out of QA as your experience factor will take a hit when trying to pivot to Dev jobs. Automation testing comes with a whole bunch headaches without management's capability to understand challenges and so not worth it.
I have currently learning JS, HTML, CSS. Not sure if what backend to learn. Are you in Dev or QA right now.
