Trending @Cognizant; TMP is just a SCAM?

So, recently while trying to search for a Java Development project I realized a very strange thing and that is that TMP is a big scam(or maybe our luck is bad).

Like I have met with people who are in a similar situation like me and are madly applying to opportunities in tmp and even then they are not able to receive even a single interview. What are the odds?

I have met people who had applied for like 200 so's and still didn't get a single interview call. How? How can someone get rejected by 200 so? I myself have applied for 50+ and none of them got even shortlisted. It is always either that HM didn't take action or Not Screened - Position filled with other candidates.

All this seems like a big scam for me. It's a very big chance 90% of the so are either just a dummy so Or the so is being created after the Hiring. The chances of later are high.

My theory is Project Manager hires based on referral/favorites. Then creates a SO in tmp. And after a few days, they just select that already hired candidate. Then reject all other candidates who applied through tmp.

What's sad for me is what about someone who is hardworking but could get time for networking or couldn't ask for a referral? Does that mean he is not worthy of any project?Isn't it cheating.

All this time everyone said to apply on tmp and I'll get a project. For the last 6 month I am doing that and now I realized it's just a facade. Why this is difficult for me is also because I have always got things based on my merit; I have never talked with someone for the sake of getting favours. If my skill sets are matching, my past reports are good why not take an interview and then decide whether to select me Or not?

I am totally okay that the managers didn't like my profile and rejected it but when my profile gets rejected without even screening, it breaks me. Everyday I am spending half of my day doing something that doesn't even matter.

I don't know what you say, but TMP is just a plain Scam I feel.

Tmp and bench periods are the biggest scams … why do they even hire tonnes of people when they cannot give projects to the current employees who are in bench?? This is a logic we can never understand … even if am on bench since 6 months its really hectic there are no projects to apply at all and even if i apply the very few available ones they are rejected directly after long waits … don’t even know what to do anymore than just wait coz outside cognizant also i am not being considered for jobs due to no work experience its almost like a gap in career 😢🤦🏻‍♀️

Yes for me it's 2 years gap I joined 2022 still now no project experience... Due to some policy they won't release for 18 months.... After 18 months they will release to the bench and then they are like no hands on experience??

I also joined in december only 😢6 months some support type project and 6 months a dummy project and from then in pdp 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️no hands on experience at all so wont be considered in cognizant and outside cognizant too…

Yes it is a scam. I have also applied for 100 + SOs and 90% were rejected maximum stating Not screeened and rest were like role to job mismatch. It's all dummy SOs. Hiring goes on if you have good networking and you know managers. I have seen people changing domains also if they know a manager. For rest of the people, it's just a dummy thing so that you think you are doing something and after sometime they can fire you saying you applied 100 SOs and problem is with you. You didn't up skill and all.... They don't have projects and some projects don't have budgets.just count your days till they ask you to resign. It's a very sad state of affairs in cts

I think projects are hiring mostly SA and then A level, so PA level associates are not getting call. Also from associate level you can be laid off if you are in bench for 2months and there is no restriction for PA. As a fresher it's not good to be in cts I think.

wish I would have understood it earlier!

Yep most of the times PM/HM have actually hired candidates even before S/O id is displayed on Tmp. The candidates are either referral or someone with whom PM/HM has worked before.

10000% Scam

And then, HR ask the candidate why they are unable to get into a project, why they are not getting selected.
