Trending @Cognizant; suggest some alternatives

I joined Cognizant in September 2023 and I was on bench for 9 months. After that we were compulsorily called to office, I had to shift to another state even after living in a metropolitan city where 2 cognizant offices are nearby my location. I asked my manager to not send me to a different state but he said he'll get my offer revoked if I won't go to another state. Now, it's going to be 1 month with another manager and the workload is too much, i see people in my team working 11-12 hours. Also, 5 days a week, that too night shift is a mandate and l've been demoted instead of getting a promotion when I got this project, and it's not even a project but an operations based role. I wasn’t placed for this role at all. It’s like company cheated on some of us. What should I do? Should I resign in September as I will complete one year. It's getting harder to face every day as I'm not liking this work, shift timings and the cultural barrier is also there. Very confused as in what to go. l've started to show health problems already due to night shift. Feel like going back home and find better opportunities. Haven't been able to focus or upskill much but I believe in myself that I can genuinely do better if I really put my mind on upskilling myself but I’m not really getting the time to do it also. It’s getting really hard to face each day. Can you suggest me some alternatives if I can release myself from this role or what to do, how to do? This company is a huge mess. Ruined my one year.

@PastelYam1 after reading your post, feel like you are not in a comfortable position rn..if you are confident enough that you can land a offer within the notice period then without a shadow of doubt go ahead and drop paper.. and if you think that you can even manage some more months without any salary then it’s a +1. But if you feel like you have financial constraints then would recommend you to start actively looking for other opportunities and then resign. Looking at your designation, i think there are plenty of opportunities for BA. Try all job platforms..it might take time and lot of rejections but definitely you will land one better than CTS.

Bottom line : At this point Cognizant is sinking and has no future at all and no one should think twice before looking for other opportunities. And that’s why I will not even suggest you to ask for release from current project so that you can look for some other projects.

Yes, very uncomfortable

I might have to upskill myself by doing some courses so that I can land another job, i can get confidence only then.
There’s a slight amount of doubt but I’m confident on my communication skills.
I want to do job from Noida/Gurgaon.
And I was hired as a BA but when we got called to office, our work changer and designation also changed.
This is not the work which I applied for. They even cheated me with the work and designation.
It was a campus placement and I regret as to why I even applied to this company

I was a fresher when I joined cts . After sometime on bench I got the project. They also told me to move to Bangalore even though I m from Mumbai. Reason u will learn and collaborate more in person BCS u r new .

I m slowly adjusting here and trying to learn and gain exp. For 4 years I will not think about location or job. I got a good project as I will learn slowly they will give more important task. And that will be beneficial for me . Meanwhile I will strengthen my core technology then make a switch closer to my home. Or some better package with better company. This all promotion it all will keep happening . Upskiloing and learning in project is more important. Plus when u cross 5 years that's where companies see the value in associates. Below that they don't hire usually. So If I will try to switch now it will be of no use
