Trending @Cognizant; Special Skills/Niche Skills Payout
Is there anyone who's been getting special allowance for niche skills. I am a language expert and I am eligible to get this allowance. Also confirmed from my manager. Unfortunately this has been under approval process from senior management for the past 6 months now. I have followed up but nobody knows the status. Not sure what needs to be done next. Can they dilly dally to avoid paying this amount.
Very much!!! Afterall, it's an overhead for them from their account's profitability and the less pressure you give, the more margin (profit) they show in their monthly P&L statement. I am sure you shall never get it in near future unless you go hard on it. And the downside - if you go hard on it, your rating shall go for a toss fetching you peanuts, making it normalise the increment that was given here. EoD - it's fair and square win for them either way you go.. And trust me, yes - Higher Management s*cks when it is to give things to the associates. 😕
I honestly do not want to let it go as it's a huge amount. I would rather not care about ratings. I know it's easier said than done, but niche skill amount is much higher than any appraisal would give.
