Trending @Cognizant; Should I switch or wait for promotion? Need suggestion.

With 2.5 YOE, I'm working as a dotnet developer and waiting for my promotion PA to A (which I am not sure what is going on with CTS) and also thinking of switiching company. So please tell should I get my promotion and then switch or switch immediately.

If you completed your 30 months before March , and you follow RTO, and utilisation is above 75%, and learning goals and external certificates are all done ... Then you will be promoted in the 1st quarter... In March nominations will start and you can ask your manager to nominate promotion...

And if you resign with 4.5 lpa then also you can get 10 lpa if you have hands on experience.

I meet all criteria except the utilisation which is 74. Sad🥲.

If you take promotion in CTS and you switch then you can ask 10 plus lpa, if you resign with 4.5 lpa then you may get below 10

Hey bro I'm or i was in the same situation. Working as PA from 2022 onwards with a damn workload still didn't get my promotion on time. All my teammates (got favoured bcz of regional support) got promoted on time. I was giving interviews in startup and mnc both. Few startups were ready to give 6lpa. MNC ready to give 8lpa. Many start-ups rejected for even 6lpa saying that's so much hike on the current salary. Designation matters actually. So i think you should wait for a bit more time for a designation change and then start exploring. Hope for the best.

In the Q4, my promotion got deferred due to plenty of miscommunication on this RTO topic. I used to follow 2-3 days of WFO. But when I reached out to the HR in Feb, he informed me that my work model is set as 4+ work from office days. My E.Del and manager both tried to state that it was set by mistake and now they have changed it to 2-3 days per week. But, the HR rejected the request. So please follow this RTO thing. Since Feb middle I have been going to the office almost everyday. But, still not sure that the HRs will check the RTO policy of 2.5+ days between which dates in Q1. In Q4 they checked from mid September,2024-mid December,2024.

Pretty abrupt.....

Is there any metrics or where we can check our RTO compliance.

Better switch bro, In Mnc rather than waiting for promotion just keep on switching for better pay twice or thrice in a year

Switch after promotion else it's difficult to land a good offer unless extremely talented

Try to switch bro and as soon as you get an offer start playing the negotiation game.

Can anyone please tell the exact criteria and when to expect promotion for 2022 joiners. It will be useful for everyone.
