I am getting my release from the project this month last and at the same time I got an offer from outside, so I am looking to resign. Will hr manager allow me to stay on bench & notice period or will they release me immediately?.
What possible I can do if I want to utilize my notice period?.

If you are on bench then most probably you won't be serving notice period. If you want to serve notice period then you have to resign while you are on project.
