When getting promoted to SA, how is the salary decided? Is it usually around 40-50% hike on current CTC, or does SA start from a fixed base (around 12 LPA) and then increase based on rating?

very simple, from the last 2 years its just a 15% hike from your ctc that's it even if you're underpaid being an experienced associate, performer doesn't matter.

If you are SA or promoted to SA and thinking to get less than 18lpa, my recommendation is please look outside instead.

Naah Bro, there is no fixed pay for SA same as like Associate profile.You got 15 to 20 percent hike on your current ctc. Thats it. Its not worth it to stay in Cts for SA promotion, and its even difficult to get it. Lots of criteria.
