Hello everyone, I got a mail regarding RTO from 20th May as I am in PDP right now. But I don’t want to go. Is there any good reason which I can state to the HR or anyone who is handling these things. Please suggest something. My base location is way too far from where I am living right now. And I have been doing WFH since I joined Cognizant in 2021 June.

My nearest cognizant office doesn’t have ODC to book a seat

No need of ODC for PDP people . You can sit on common seating floor or training room or even in canteen.

Sadly you have to go specially when you are on bench. They will send warning letters if you don't report to office stating they will take disciplinary action on you with loss of pay and even termination. I know ppl have gotten such mails. So it's best to punch your card in office.

What If I have a medical emergency at home and my presence at home is necessary?

I can understand but HR won't. They are just looking to take action on people. You might have a reasonable reason but they are not entertaining anything.
