Trending @Cognizant; Retention hike expectation

Recently resigned from Cognizant. Current CTC 16 LPA and holding offer with 40% hike from current CTC. Cognizant wants to retain me. How much max we can ask for retention?

no limit for asking 😂, they will give based on yoe and max 50% hike, heard from a friend and burden him with work, and also take confirmation in written before withdrawing the resignation, I also heard they delay the increment a quarter saying market is not good now...

One of my Colleagues also said, it is better to get their statement in written email.

So if you got offer letter from another company and current company offer you more to retain or less then you should avoid. Having some self respect and in future you can come back with experience and higher Salary

Retention policy is only 20% hike not more than that, I got retained 4 months back and they told they can max give 20% while I was holding 40%

But until you get revised offer letter don't take back your resignation
