Trending @Cognizant; Resignation Early relaese

My manager (Cogni@@nt)won't release me until they complete the entire replacement process (find candidate, interviews, background checks, KT, shadowing, and independent work). I've received an excellent offer from a product company with 100%+ hike, but my manager insists I find my own replacement before getting a release date. Also, my bonus will be released on March 12th - should I resign before or after receiving it? Need advice on securing a firm last working day while protecting my bonus.

Yes, i too resigned. I have submitted papers however my manager said 90 days will be counted post resignation approval. Simply they will extend it.

Bro it's doesn't happen like that, you'll serve notice period as per your offer letter.

You can resign and still get a bonus. That wont’t be impacted. If you need early release its different thing how your manager takes it. Otherwise no one can force you to serve beyond 90 days, or stop your release wether they get replacement or not it’s their concern you don’t have to worry. 90 days will be counted from the moment you submit your resignation

Put down your papers right away. Resignation doesn't impact bonus. No need to find your replacement. That's not your job. Check if it's mentioned explicitly in your offer letter that you have to find your own replacement before leaving the company....😀😀. Serve the complete 90 days notice period and leave. Approval to waive off notice period comes from senior management probably AD or D level guys. Your manager will definitely have a say in that. If the team depends on you, they wont let you go before serving the complete notice period. So don't be in a hurry.

It’s better to take and release and resign. If you resign now then your manager might ask you to fulfill 90 days notice period.

As per labour policy rule 90 days is the max. If they approved or not it's their issue. From the date of resignation to the 90 days you need to serve. No need for any extra days. Talk with HR
