Trending @Cognizant; Resignation comes to confusion
Hi team, Please help me to decide. Very very very stressed and confused I am 3 yoe , working on a critical projects basically in ETL testing Manual but I am not able to upskill due to bad timings.. they are asking to working 13 hours a day almost. I am fade up with these stuffed.I want to upskill my automation skills and want to switch. I asked for release many times but they are not willing to do that.. Now I am worried that even if I got any release whether I will get good project ? Related to automation. Or I am thinking to resign and see opportunities in the Market. What is your thoughts.

First of all don't take that much amount of work. Learn to say no. Second look outside. Right now Cognizant is not having openings in ETL. So, it's best to look outside

I was a Qa as well and I can totally relate with you. I also felt stuck in manual testing and feared it will become stagnant. So here you have two choices:
- If you want to stay in the testing field, get some automation skills that are in demand in the market and look for job in automation. You can then tell the interviewers that you have experience in automation as well, build up story around your project and automation (no ones gonna know )
- If you want to move out of testing, you can do MBA.

If they are not willing to release you, contact your HR and request the same and justify why you want to be released from the project... They will help you with it..
