Trending @Cognizant; Promotion to add. Associate
Hi Everyone,
I am working in CTS from sept. 2022 as associate. I am Not sure if I am eligible for promotion to Sr. associate. I will be completing my 7th year in industry in upcoming July.
Can anyone help me with the process and eligible criteria for this promotion.
Any help will be much appreciated.

- Last 3 years rating should be 3 and above.
- must have be in the same designation for 2 years.
- should be in the same account for 2 years (not mandatory)
Once you met the eligibility criteria, you'd get a email from HR telling that you are eligible for IJM Process and HR Would request you to raise an one time request in TMP Portal. After raising the OTR, your project manager should approve it and then he have the power to trigger the promotion by creating an IJM SO in your project. For A to SA the approval process will take time with cognizant leadership and as well from client side since your billing rate will be changed and client has to accept the change so that cognizant can pay you for your promotion.
So on an average how much time does approval from leadership take.
If your Home manager recommends your name for promotion, your account's engagement deliver lead has to approve it. But he will approve only if your billing has been changed by client. For me it took like 3 weeks to complete the process after raising OTR
You have to complete 2 years in Cognizant and over all 6 years of IT experience. If yes then talk to your HCM and raise one time request in TMP
You have to spend 3 yrs as Associate then you will be eligible for promotion
