Trending @Cognizant; Promotion and IJM

I previously raised one time request and my home manager differed it till july 11th. As per the mail, I can apply for opportunities from june 13th and be available from 11th of July. But my manager said I will continue in my project and will get promoted (which is still doubtful as he was uncertain even though he said so). What am I supposed to do.
