Trending @Cognizant; Project Refusal

Hi all, Currently I am working as a Programmer analyst with 1.5 yrs of experience and i am in the bench for 2 months.Recently I got a project opportunity for the billable support role which was offered by my HM, I was not interested in it since my previous project was also focused on the support role so i denied the project opportunity. Will this affect my future projects and what are all the consequences that i have to face in future? Your guidance will be more appreciated, Thanks in advance☺️

Not sure about this but one person I know who refuses the opportunity from TMP got show cause notice from HR and after two weeks he was asked to resign.

It's always best to accept any role, learn on the skills quickly and try to adapt with the changing environment. The quicker you learn the new skills and utilise them in whichever projects you get, the better it would be for you. In case if you reject the role, HR would be liable to take necessary action leading to termination as well. There's a catch here however, incase if you know if any opportunity that's floating somewhere and might seem interesting to you, try to reach out to the HM hiring for that role. A lot of times, those roles are not closed and if your profile matches, you might be considered as an ideal candidate and you can join that role, even if that does not exist. It all depends on networking and availability of the position. Hope this helps.
