Trending @Cognizant; PA to A promotion?
I had joined as PAT in SEP 2023 and became PA in SEP 2024 and I got a 4 rating during 2024 year end ratings. Can I expect my promotion to associate this SEP?
How many days are required ?30days in 3 months....is it fine?

Same happened with me, I have not been to office in February month but later I maintained RTO March and April and my total RTO is calculated to be 30 days and I got promoted from PA to A
I can assure you that , 3 things are mandatory for promotion
- Rating should be at least 3 or more
- Maintain rto
- You should have completed 30 months in this organisation
Other things that might affect your promotion are -
- Utilisation - if it's green then you are good. But I have seen some people get promoted and their utilisation was not green
- Bench period - one of my friend was on bench, still she got promoted because she was meeting all other criteria
RTO is fine, But how many days in a week and how many hours in a day atleast we need to be there in office ?
Can we get promoted with 0 utilisation? I am in a non billable role in my project since 1.5 years and they are not going to make me billable. Because of this I didn't get promoted.
As per new policy to get promoted from PA to A you must complete 30 months in cognizant and have minimum 3 ratings in the following year
I have completed 30 months on may & have rating pf 5 with 100% utilisation still i did not get promotion for rto only
Criteria is for 30 months for becoming associate, check with HR if the month criteria is different for 4 rating
Also they are making rto compliance mandetory
