Trending @Cognizant; Obsolete Tech Consequence

Hi, Folks I was given training on AS400 that is IBM I but then I was forced to serve bench then when 2 years completed they allocated a project their I struggled a lot due to this technology as I have left touch of that and yes...they again forced me to bench after 3 months..I am frustrated with this process and I want some trending skills that I can learn which can fetch me a project asap as I fear someday they will ask resignation. I WANT SOME EASY SKILLS FOR A NON TECH GUY..TIA...
