Trending @Cognizant; November month increment letter
I have a doubt regarding the upcoming November cycle. Will Cognizant be releasing only increment letters during this period, or is there also a chance for promotion letters to be issued?
I joined Cognizant in 2021 as a Senior Associate and have been working in the same project since then. From 2023 to 2024, I was on maternity leave. After returning, I heard from my manager that I may not be considered for promotion since I was on maternity leave for a year.
I would like clarification on whether women employees who return from maternity leave are not eligible for promotion or performance ratings. Could you please confirm if the November letter is only for increments, or if promotions may also be included?
Read the other comments but my team member was on maternity till first quarter and she got promoted this cycle, so I don't know if it depends on BU
Ohh! . But I didn't get a proper rating before my ML due to that i would be in ML . After i joined the project, they said i will not be eligible for promotion and ratings.In the Go performance they are mentioned as a ' Not Rated'. Hence I didn't/ will not get any performance rating from 2023 to 2025. So what is the use of working hard in the project!!!. ?

Maternity leave and LOAs are generally not considered for promotion and relatively lesser hikes.
