Trending @Cognizant; Notice period while on bench

Hey folks. Can anybody shed light on how much notice period an employee needs to serve while he/she is on bench. I am aware that the official notice period while being in the project is 90 days which means you have to serve for 90 days from the time you applied for resignation.

However, if someone gets released from his project, and is currently on the bench with no project in hand, what can be the notice period? Can it be reduced considerably since he is not tagged to any project at the moment? Please share light

my friend was on the bench last year and dropped his papers. he had to serve 0 days notice as he was not tagged to any project

Ok, so basically u mean to say that if someone is not tagged to project in Cts, there's a good chance they serve considerably low NP, even as low as 0. That's good to hear. Gives a chance to switch.
