Trending @Cognizant; Need suggestion on project switch to ticketing and support
Hey I have 1.9 yrs of exp at cognizant, at PDP from last 1 month . My manager contacted me yesterday and offered me a billable role for a ticketing and vulnerabilities management etc. I am from java delivery wanted a project in springboot etc. Should i take the role considering the current project situations at Cognizant? In TMP no one is accepting the project proposal.
If u r looking for the job only or want to stay in cognizant only then you can accept this offer
But if you really cares about your work and learning then i will say wait for the right project which is related to java
As u mentioned you have 1.9 yrs of experience in cognizant..so i believe your ageing have’t started yet so you will have roughly 4 6 months before they will ask you for self resign and this 4-6 months is a huge time you can get good project or also get opportunity outside aswell
When does the ageing starts? And i was thinking if i get into this then maybe i will get a promotion to A after 2yrs
Once u promoted to associate then only your ageing will start
Discuss with the manager will they give u promotion after completion of 2yrs if yes then accept the offer and prepare yourself for the outside opportunity
Once u promoted then go out
It's upto you. If you can take risk then just look out because this company is not going to help you. Chipke rehne se kuch nahi hoga..move out.
Cognizant condition and market condition are really bad already. Best tier college students are also getting to work on CRM. Support mei ofcourse kuch learning and 16 saal ki padhai nahi hai! Do it for money and promotion.
Better accept than nothing
If you are in PDP try pinging all the POC that you can find for the project listed on TMP. Try to get an internal interview of the project and tech you want.
