Trending @Cognizant; Need Early release from cognizant, I am a critical resource.
Hi Guys, I need some clarification, I got an offer from others that the joining date is October 27 ( I can request them to extend the joining date to 1 more month ) Now I resigned here on Friday October 4 I wanted an urgent release which means the notice period should be 45 to 50 days at least . I need to ask my manager to give an early release.
My project is also going to end .. my managers are planning to put me to project end activities because of am critical resource.
What can I do now ? Any suggestions ?
Talk to your Home manager & project manager 1 on 1 and request to get released amicably. Otherwise, they will not release you within 45-50 days since you are critical resource. You may need to serve 2 months notice period if you joined cognizant before corona (i.e year 2021) otherwise, 3 months notice period must..
Will it be possible to take the buyout option..? What is the process for this ? I have 24 earned leaves ,18 sick leaves ,6 casual leaves ..all these are still there ..I didn't take leave this year .

IT'S a BU decision. Only way is to convince your managers and ask hem politely for early release. Mostly thye should not put you in project closure activities if you are on NP. But it all depends on manager
