Yes, this is because your amount is going to PF. If you were working for any other employer, that may be the reason; otherwise, it is from Cognizant itself. In my case, my 12% goes to PF(Employee Share) , 4% goes to pension, and 8% goes to pension(Employee share ) . But not all employees have the same structure. If you want to change the structure, you may contact the payroll department in Cognizant.
