Trending @Cognizant; Mass resignation upcoming in cognizant. (Hike, policies, RTO)

we are all aware of things happening on cognizant from last couple of months, be it the silly RTO policy implimentation and now forcing employees to be in office min 3 days for 7 hours atleast. Or blocking promotions at several level.

Also as many of you might have got information about the merit increase, as far as i got to know its below 5% even for a 5 rating employee its just 4.5%. Now its needless to say if its good hike or not. You cant even beat inflation with this hike.

Though some employees are assuming that company has not performed well in last few months hence this hike is impacted, it might be true, but as an employee do you really think its your fault ? Have you not worked really hard, haven't you gave your best, haven't you done all those extended support and sleepless nights, haven't you sacrificed your personal and family time just to make that one piece of code working enough to make the client happy ?

Ask these questions to yourself and think if this hike is justified for your all hardwork?

All these stupid policies of cognizant and this careless attitude towards employees is just giving more reasons to the employee to feel betrayed. This will be the reason in coming months cognizant will be observing mass resignations.

I am done with it and leaving soon. Atleast i would be getting enough hike by resigning and joining any other firm to have my expenses cleared, yeah i know work life balance remains same in all firms but atleast i would be getting justified salary. Good luck to the loyal employees, be an underpaid asset always, thats what they need.

Hi buddy, I joined Cognizant in September 2023 and I was on bench for 9 months. After that we were compulsorily called to office, I had to shift to another state even after living in a metropolitan city where 2 cognizant offices are nearby my location. I asked my manager to not send me to a different state but he said he’ll get my offer revoked if I won’t go to another state. Now, it’s been 2 weeks with another manager and the workload is too much and 5 days a week that too night shift is a mandate and I’ve been demoted instead of getting a promotion when I got this project, and it’s not even a project but an operations based role. What should I do? Should I resign in September as I will complete one year. It’s getting harder to face every day as I’m not liking this work, shift timings and the cultural barrier is also there. Very confused as in what to go. I’ve started to show health problems already due to night shift. Feel like going back home and find better opportunities.

I want to quit too, but have too many responsibilities and ailing parents. I can’t quit without a job in hand šŸ˜” and the notice period here is 90 days. Thatā€˜s insane.

90 days of NP is one of the worst things in most of the companies !😭😭😭

I thats one hurdel, but i have seen many switches with this same notice period. Or the other way around is just directly ask your manager to release you from project, once you are on bench you can ask for early release anytime.

Last time my rating was 5 but i got very little hike why because we have given hike 6 months ago fucking asshole company

Yup i can feel your frustration, dealying the hike from april was just one script it was a stagged act to make employees feel oh comapny is not doing well in the market so they can handover peanuts to the employee later in form of this 4% hike. They will now be telling "somthing is better than nothing". Its a old known technique.

I resigned. There is no way to stay here. The bad part about CTS is, few employees working day night for the company, and when there is any ramp down or cost cutting, they move to the bench, and random HR call them and ask to resign or find a project (HR knows that there is no proper project). CTS is in a very bad position right now.
If anyone wants to stay here they can, but if you want to grow you have to move right now.

Rightly said, to grow you have to move out and search for better oppertunity.

SA to A shouldn't be an issue, but looking at current situation, i dont want to give any false hopes to you. Just learn your tech and plan to move out.

Yeah correct not much we can do, but least we can do is to walk out of that place where there is not value of our talent.

I know its really hurting to see whats happening in CTS but even the other companies are facing similar issue..Wipro has not given hikes for most people for last 2 yrs and accenture hasn’t for the last year.. so Everyone please make sure u have one big offer before resigning as we dont know what would we face outside CTS.
