Currently i am working on mainframe technology but my interest to switch my career to Data analytics. Is anyone here working as data analytics. Need some tips how can I switch my career.
A General Thumb Rule, start with random Udemy Courses, this helps to gain some knowledge, find out the Why and convince the Why(in interviews if you don't know the why you're doing what you're doing you can't convince the hiring manager to go with you)!
Also, when switching skills and tech stack be job focused, goto linkedin/naukri/any other job search site and gather about 15+20 JD's for Junior to Middle Level Data Analytics Job Roles then Segregate tools, behavioral competency, certifications expectations etc...,
Make a list of all the things you have to work on and then work towards it for 3-4 months, do existing projects by watching YouTube videos and take a use case and solve some small problems at end of your learning journey, upload all to GitHub showcase the portfolio and switch jobs! All the best!
