Trending @Cognizant; Is my project and manager the worst?
Our manager insisted us to take max to max 2 leaves a month and that too if we take them he tries to emotionally blackmail in all possible ways and make us feel bad. There are people in my team who work even though they are seriously sick. This month I had one planned leave and had to take one unplanned for my baby's vaccination and he rejected my leave request when I applied my planned leave. When I asked he said he is unable to track my leaves thus cancelled and I can apply later. Last month uncle died and when I applied sick leave he rejected and asked me to avail my earned or casual leave.
Please complain to HR . This is incorrect behaviour and not acceptable.
Just keep skip level manager in loop when you apply the leave and make sure they are atleast 60 days in advance. Manager has no right to refuse your leaves. I myself have more than half a dozen reporting to me and the only thing I ask them every month is to share there leave plans for next 90 days so that I can plan the project and client expectations accordingly.
Taking leaves is every employee right and it should be encouraged by manager's
In our project as well we are asked to plan leaves early but even though we plan in advance my hm is not at all happy. My PM is actually better when compared to Hm. And there is obviously some partiality they are ok with some but not ok with all. And mostly everyone in team targets to complete their work and leaves doesn't affect in any way.
Cognishit is a thirdclass company move out of it as soon as possible and many managers are unfit to perform theier role.only 10 to 20 % part of cognizant is good.
