Trending @Cognizant; Inquiry Regarding Promotion Eligibility for July Quarter

Hello Cognizant Community,

I joined Cognizant in October 2021 as a PAT (Programmer Analyst Trainee) and was promoted to Programmer Analyst in October 2022. Based on the promotion cycle, I was expecting a promotion to Associate in January 2024. However, due to my year-end rating of 2 for 2022, I did not meet the prerequisites (a minimum rating of 3, 4, or 5) and thus was not promoted.

Accepting the policy, I looked forward to the next promotion cycle in April 2024. Despite my 2023 year-end rating being 3, I was informed that I wasn’t promoted due to being less competitive compared to others, despite my strong performance. I suspect this might be due to limited positions.

As the second quarter is ending in June, I am keen to know about my chances of being considered for promotion in the July cycle. Additionally, I have recently completed my MBA in Business Analytics through BITS Pilani WLP in June 2024.

Given my performance, updated qualifications, and current CTC of 5, what are the prospects of being promoted in the upcoming quarter?

I would appreciate any insights or advice from the community.
