Trending @Cognizant; I want to release my notice period from 90 to 60. Please guide me

I have an offer and the HR wants me to join within 60 days without fail. I am working in client billable project. My project manager is ready to approve my early release but How to negotiate with the HR ?

Update: My Project manager was supportive and after discussions with other delivery engagement heads , Today I got confirmation that notice period reduced to 60 days as No major dependency on me

Your PM should email HR to change LWD however you will need to buyout notice period of 30 days

On basic salary or gross salary

If manager has said yes. Hr has nothing to do with it. Since manager will set the LWD.

I also wanted to reduce my notice period from 90 to 45 days. My Project lead is with me and he has no problem . Looking forward to connect with my homemanager today. Finger crossed
