16moTrending @Cognizant; I am really fed up with cognizant. Whats wrong with project managers? Why they are not ready to give projects to bench associates

It's really good time to upskill yourself and keep trying to get into the project as there is an ample opportunity in all the respective streams.

Opportunities are listed in tmp but managers are not allocating

Yea I understand, it depends many factors.
- May be, check the required from date for every SO and based on it, there will be appropriate call.
- Check the SO if it is created for IJM which they will not prefer candidates outside their practice.
- Check for % level how much of percentage does match with your profile.
- Note down the SO number, send the mail to POC ( Hiring manager) and cc to Talent manager with your technical details, so that they will acknowledge your mail. Along with that, apply for the SO from TMP portal as well.
- Somewhere regularly note down how many SO' applied, what response you got back, current status of SO, reasons for rejection for your reference purpose. Better tracking for these SO' will help you out where you are and where you want to be in technical perspective.
- Equip yourself with your skill set and be enough confidence during your interview that give impression to manager that you are capable of handling the project deliverables.
All the best for all your efforts... Cheers..

Start attending interviews and don’t depend only on cognizant. Keep upskilling yourself and you will find your break. Managers have their expectations and own criteria. Just like you they deal with many profiles and if they find some one better they will ignore you. This is the reality so no point in blaming company and managers

Project managers can be a bit choosy, focusing on specific skills or experience. It's frustrating, but sometimes it's just about timing and availability
