Trending @Cognizant; Has anyone here received a salary retention hike at Cognizant recently?
Curious to know how it typically goes — • Did they actually match your external offer or just give a token hike? • How open was HR/management to discussing it? • Was it worth staying back or did you end up moving anyway?
Trying to get a sense of whether Cognizant is serious about retaining folks or just going through the motions. Would really appreciate any firsthand experiences!

Starting July 25, no retention request is being considered

Hey I was a critical resource in the project and even my bluebolt idea is selected and currently it's in the implementation phase through which they want to bill customers addition to that I am in touch with till AIA VP. Even after all my contribution they were giving just 20% hike
BTW I was PA CCTC : 7.2

Retention hike 20%?

If you are sure the other company is also good enough to move into then I would suggest demand at least 30% hike on ur current offer from the other company. If there is a requirement for your role and your manager thinks you are useful . They will accept it. Telling this based on my own experience back in 2021.
Also discuss openly with your HR and manager both when contacted and stay firm on ur negotiations. But do have this in your mind if they reject you should still be fine moving out

No hikes this year for Cognizant

Yes..they are not considered even if you are a critical resource in your project ..

It's not like that it's depends upon BU billing rate & criticality
