I got promoted to associate last year, January 2025 effective. What benefit I will have if I have received back-to-back 5 rating? Will I get promoted to tech lead or will i get promoted to senior associate in 2026?

No, they won't promote in that way. There should be minimum 2 years gap b/w promotion to promotion

Okay, so what about tech lead as I heard it is not a band promotion just a role upgradation.

For any role, it needs 2 years gap I guess. Who will give promotions in back to back years. I don't think so

They won't give you 5 rating again . So don't think much

Congratulations. They introduced consecutive 5 rating concept last hike.

So your case is new. There will be almost 2 year gap between promotion.
