Trending @Cognizant; Corporate disfunction at Cognizant
Cognizant's current state is a glaring example of corporate dysfunction. The Return to Office (RTO) policy is being shoved down employees' throats, with little to no regard for their preferences or well-being. The level of micromanagement is astonishing—employees are even receiving emails instructing them where to sit, showcasing a complete breakdown of professional respect and work ethics. Project managers are relentlessly pushing their juniors to come up with innovations, but without offering any meaningful support or direction. This pressure-cooker environment is exacerbated by an HR department that operates with robotic indifference, more interested in enforcing policies than in genuinely supporting employees.
Adding insult to injury, Cognizant's so-called "lollipop hikes"—pathetic salary increases—are an outright joke compared to what other service-based companies are offering. These meager raises do nothing to address the rising cost of living or reward the hard work of the employees. Meanwhile, the Indian CEOs are the epitome of self-preservation, more concerned with safeguarding their own positions than with ensuring the well-being of their employees. This toxic combination of mismanagement, poor compensation, and a lack of genuine leadership is driving the company into a downward spiral.
