I've recently completed 3.5 years at Cognizant, but unfortunately, I haven't received the Senior Associate (SA) promotion yet.
FOR SEN. ASSOCIATE+ PROMOTIONS
Option 1: If there is any open SO which were marked as promotion eligible in talent market place means, you can directly reach out to the hiring manager. Other way, you can approach your department leadership with your past good ratings and previous manager comments. They will promote you through putting in the PE eligible SO.
Option 2: You have to be there in same project for more than 2 years. With your project manager and HM help they can get you promoted.

You have to talk with your supervisor, A to SA would not happen automatically.
In the last 3 years, I have received the top ratings.
