Trending @Capgemini; Seeking Advice: Choosing Between Ratings and Automation Work

Hi everyone,

I’m currently facing a bit of confusion regarding my project situation and would really appreciate your advice.

I’ve been working on a project where I recently started getting opportunities to do some automation work, which aligns well with my interests and career goals. However, my manager has informed me that billability for this project will be delayed, and since year-end ratings are approaching, he suggested that I take an internal transfer to another project to ensure better rating prospects.

The issue is that the new project primarily involves manual work, which I’m not very interested in.

I’m struggling to decide between continuing with the automation work I enjoy (but risking delayed billability and possibly a lower rating) or switching to a manual project for the sake of immediate billability and ratings.

Could anyone please suggest what would be a wise move in this situation?
