Can 1.6 years fresher on bench get sabbatical for upsc preparation?

A sabbatical leave is a period in which an employee takes an extended break from work. The reasons for taking a sabbatical can vary from pursuing a degree or working on a personal project to volunteering, traveling the world, or spending more time with family.

As per policy it's stated as min 2 yrs into CG as eligibility for sabbatical which should be approved by manager and HR

As far as I know sabbatical in CG is for 1 year.

What is the duration? Also, what is the criteria when get back from sabbatical?
