Trending @Capgemini; Resign and serve NP hurdle

I am planning to resign and get an early release. My new project work has not yet started and just hand over is happening. Can I get an early release? If so should I submit my laptop back? And if released, will there be pressure to complete 9 hours and 12 days and all those even if I am serving NP? Somebody already on it, please advise.
