Trending @Capgemini; Regarding switch to govt contract base job.

I am A5, it's been 18 months in CG 4lpa. My concern is I am selected for government job which is contract base 5lpa not permanant. So I am confuse should I join or not or stay in IT and switch to other company in near future. What is your suggestion. Please guide.

Things to consider will be how long is the contract job for?

If it's only for a year 4lpa to 5lpa doesn't make a difference actually

And also leaving a permanent job for a contractual job also doesn't sound fair to me

Stay in IT. You got a contract base government job and govt jobs these days doesn’t provide good perks . As you are a data analyst, you will have good perks in IT in near future.Just try learning new visualisation tools and switch company

Switch to the government job. It's a step up in pay and a change of pace. Capgemini's 90-day notice period is a hassle. Use the contract job as a stepping stone.
