My CG Lenovo laptop had some hardware issue and since the laptop was still under warranty I connected with the Lenovo customer support and they got the damaged part replacement and resolved the issue. Do I need to inform about this to the CG IT team? (The reason I didn't raise a ticket in service central is because they would have asked me to visit office to get the issue resolved and I wouldn't have been able to visit office as I'll be going on leave next week)

I think you should have contacted ITICS they would have also raise Lenovo support ticket on your behalf since its in warranty
Yes but the thing is that they would have asked me to visit office first to get it checked in person and then they would've raised the service request to Lenovo. I had already completed my 12 days for this month and didn't wanted to visit office during the year end time.
