I am joining one of the projects that technology was very old like not purely spring mvc and that project only I am developer and not having any documentation what I do?

If you're the only developer in your current project then I highly doubt that your manager would give you an immediate release. Maybe you can have a word with your manager and let him know about your thought and see what he/she's saying.
