Resign CG before PIP end.

You need to complete the PIP successfully and then get in to project during pip resignation not allowed

PIP simply means Performance Improvement Plan. They give you 60 days tasks to complete so that you can improve your performance. If your manager thinks that you have improved they close it with good comments otherwise you are advised you find a new project as per your skillset where you can perform better. If that fails then there are chances of layoff.

It means UNOFFICIALLY layoff
So try to improve your skills in these 2 months
And try outside
