Trending @Capgemini; Opinion on 2 - 3 months medical leave and project assignment.

Hello CG family,

I need clarity on my leave status and project

assignment

I met with an accident last month and am currently on (LWP). I joined Capgemini 5 months ago, and my probation period has been completed. I had informed both my reporting manager and N+1 about my medical condition and the doctor's advice.

It has been around two weeks since I last worked, and based on my recent medical consultation, I have been advised to take complete rest for at least the next 2-3 months for proper recovery.

In this context, I would like to understand:

  1. Whether my LWP for the next 2-3 months can be approved, considering my tenure and completion of probation.

  2. Whether I will continue in the same project upon my return, or if there is a possibility of a project change.

I would also like to mention that my doctor has strongly advised avoiding stress even after recovery, and my current project involves a high workload, which may impact my health.

Can you please share your thoughts here ?

I joined Capgemini 6 months back.
And my probation period has been completed.
I gave 5 months in the current project. I don't think so I am a critical resource.
But I don't want to continue in the same project, the project and team members are very toxic and it is affecting my mental health.

Thoughts: You have a valid reason, so you can go on a 3 months sabbatical leave. Regarding project, looks very unlikely that you'll be in the same project once you join back (unless you were a critical resource). Most probably you'll be put on bench I feel
