Trending @Capgemini; Onsite Opportunity
Recently an onshore member has taken release from our project for which he was working from the past 10 years. What are my chances to get the onsite opportunity if I'm working in this project for the past 2.5 years as a Senior Software Engineer (A5 and soon will be B1 in the next cycle) and having an exceeding (1 rating) feedback. Should I approach my manager regarding this? I'm aware about the lottery thing for onsite opportunities (which I have never been into yet) but is it applicable in this case ?
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Just a question, what are the benefits of onsite opportunities?

You'll never be eligible. Your manager will go first. Not you with A5 or B1 grade. They're not eligible for onsite in Capgemini.
Hmm, the situation here is, except me all my teammates are new joinee (in this project ) including my manager(he recently joined CG as a manager) But i got your point.. i think there is a lot of politics involved in such scenarios.
See not like that always if you have good repo with your manager and you got visa then you can get an opportunity, but for current you are taking about which is vacant do you really think at this moment of USA scenario which currently have, will they wait for you to get visa to fill that space
