Trending @Capgemini; Need suggestion please

I joined in Capgemini in July-2024 with around 4 YOE as a java developer. Once I joined here I didn't get any single project calls for 3 months and in 4th month I got a call from one project and selected as well but it's a kind mixed support and operation I have accepted it because fear of layoff . Now I got probation confirmation mail please let me know is there any way to get release project this project, I am really intrested in development side don't know what to do in this difficult situation please suggest if I ask release now will they fire me ? How is bench situation now ?
