Trending @Capgemini; Miscommunication?
Ok i have resigned and also did inform my client. Last week on friday i had a call with HR as a normal procedure after resignation. Earlier i asked my client if he could give me early release from project and he said YES for that and also asked me to send official confirmation from the CG side regarding my resignation. I asked Hr about early release and she was like you have serve notice period. is it a miss communication?... i mean i told her during call that client was ok to give me early release. If client releases me should i stay on bench ? Or since im still and expense for cg will they release me?

I would say get released from the project, sit idle, work on hobby projects, chill out at the office at the expense of the company, if they are not releasing you early.

It seems like you still need to learn a lot about this corporate realm. Always remember whatever conversation you had with your client, manager or HR, always put that in a formal mail rather pinging them in teams or discussed in a call. One of the main purpose of mail is that everything will be in a written format which is an evidence for any related activity in future. So, whatever is the confusion just mail to your HR and keep your project manager, n+1, supervisor, BU lead and client in cc. So, that whatever conversation is going on all will be in a same page (including you).

Yes i get it

Before getting confirmation from the client you should have asked your BU HR. Now you have one option you need to get approval from the BU head and submit it to the HR team.

What if the client had declared to leave you early in 15 days and 2 months of your notice period is still left. Will CG still keep you on the bench? Or relieve you immediately?

Depends on the HR and management moods. We can't predict that. In most cases they allow while in others they make you stay. Sometimes your EM or PM can also play roles here

I told her in my conversation that client is ok to release me bit early. Im ok to serve my notice period but ( as stupid as this sounds) im ok to stay on bench till end of my notice period and there certain other tasks which are being done by staying on bench by my frnds which doesnt involve in more hrs of sitting ( which is my medical issue that i cant sit for longer hrs as i had a small accident a while ago.. i have taken multiple leaves as well but the issues keeps coming up .. for somedays it feels the issue gone.. but if i take little more strain then i get the back pain and on top of that there is one personal issue as well).. i spoke about this to the head too. They are aware of my situation.i had medical prescriptions and xrays which are two month old. But obviously they will need latest ones and how can my issue be explained. ?
