Trending @Capgemini; It’s crazy out there

Just wanted to give heads up to all the people who are planning to leave after appraisal, consider following points before taking the final call

  1. Don’t let your ego to lead the decision
  2. Be aware of your strengths n weaknesses
  3. Do the proper analysis of Job market like no.of open positions available on your skill in your expected location etc

Try to check with your friends or colleagues who are working in different organisations regarding their hike, if most of them also on the same boat, do you think jumping this boat off can make you any better ?

For the last three years no hike, atleast changing a job will get you minimum 40% increment

That you can expect if you have strong skill set and it’s in demand and your salary is way below market standard otherwise no company is offering 40% hike in current scenario

Great points @Whatsinname. Goes without saying that these need to be accounted for before resigning, but thank you for putting these out there for others.

Hot Tip! CG allows revoking on resignation until the time you surrender you laptop, but your N+1 needs to approve your resignation revocation request. So make sure you are not burning bridges with your N+1 during notice just in case you are not able to secure another job during the 90 day notice.

I would like to add 1 more point here
Before to accept offfer from Your next organization's do r&d regarding annual appraisal system and there hike percentage at least last few years because Capgemini is not only one who is treating there employees as slave after working hard and your rating is also not below meet expectations you get 0% appraisal and after working 10- 12 year your package is equal to new hires and you will get numbers of employees in Capgemini.

Most of MNCs having similar appraisals, few have around 8 to 12% but again job security is blur everywhere

If you want a good hike look for a foreign MNC and Products based company which is older than 10 years and have less than 5k employees and if such company have opening for your skill sets they would definitely consider a 100% if you impress them in technical rounds.
