Trending @Capgemini; Is onsite worth it if I don't like the client and project technology?

Hi I have been working in Capgemini from 6 yrs and I have been steady on a project from long time . I have asked for release from project as I thought that I was not growing and learning anything new . People around me are saying that I should have asked for onsite . But I am thinking is it worth it if the work is still very repetitive?
